Love it. And I too remember when Crocs started flooding the restaurant kitchens I visited. Everyone's feet became twice as chunky overnight. And then came all the colours. For what it's worth, there is no more slippy a shoe than the Converse All Star hi-tops that this art director used to try and navigate restaurant kitchens with. I nearly skated head first into a boiling vat of pig's heads at Tom Kitchin's gaff. I spent the rest of that week walking around like Bambi. Never not the least masculine presence in the testosterone-heavy places I visited...
I don’t think there is any parallel universe where a grenadine poached tomato (let alone the rest of your difference) could be considered a dull dish…. We are about to venture into rural Wales. I will test it out by asking at our first overnight stop ..
I can report only one serious hitch approaching the level of chicken query. Cardiff turns out to have a fabulous Sicilian deli. And also that Hereford market (on the mappa mundi stop on the way back) astonishingly has amazing Afghan biscuits and Tanzanian food even for us non meat eaters.
They were NEVER the height of fashion 🐊
Oh yes they were, you had four pairs.
And now we have skechers! As someone who works on their feet for a long time they're a godsend.
I wear them on my hands.
Doesn't surprise me😂😂

Haha. It’s amazing how a perfectly stable pair of shoes suddenly feel like stilts when you’re in a kitchen.
You do yourself down. I haven't seen any grenadine poached tomatoes on recent menus.
Thanks Clare, it’s a northern thing. But actually, it was an intriguing dish, almost sweet and sour.

Ohhhh, that could be interesting.
Dw ddim yn bwyta cig. I don’t eat meat. Thats all I have got. It’s going to be an experience.
