Edam … is that even a vegetarian cheese? We used to have great hilarity in the deli when a particularly staunch vegetarian asked for particular cheeses and when I said they were made with a non-veggie rennet they said that was fine!

Oh yes, we had those people. “I’m lactose intolerant until it comes to dessert.”
“I can eat cream but not milk.”
